Forget Coles, Woolworths, Hotels etc. They will just find another way to rip us off.
Lets set up a scheme where schools, sports clubs and community organisations are the collection sites so these worthy pillars of our community harvest the income from a container deposit scheme. Example – I have 20 containers. I am not much interested in the $2 I would get by cashing them in but I would be happy to ‘donate’ at my children’s school or junior sporting club. Leaving the container deposit scheme with the big guys is like leaving Dracula in charge of the blood bank.
