The purpose of this privacy policy is to tell you what kind of information we may collect from you and how we collect it, how we may use that information, and whether we will disclose it to anyone else. It also explains how we store the information you provide to us, how you may access or correct it, and how you can contact us.
The Boomerang Alliance is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and that personal information that it collects from you will be used in accordance with this privacy statement. The Boomerang Alliance respects and upholds your rights to privacy protection under the Australian Privacy Principles regarding how we collect, use, disclose and hold your personal information.

Third Party Services
The Boomerang Alliance uses the NationBuilder platform to organise our community of members, supporters and prospects. You can read more about that company and its features and polices at www.nationbuilder.com. When you visit our website, NationBuilder may send one or more cookies - a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters - to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets NationBuilder help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through our website. A cookie does not collect personal information about you. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser’s directions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of our website may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled. You can read more about how the NationBuilder service interacts with and protects your information at www.nationbuilder.com/privacy and www.nationbuilder.com/confidentiality.
The Boomerang Alliance also uses Google Analytics to help understand use of our website. This service collects the information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including cookies and your IP address, and their use of it is governed by their Privacy Policy.
Occasionally we may also collect personal information from third party sources such as Change.org.
Use of data
The personal information that we collect from you is used, among other things, to process your donations and to provide you with receipts, to communicate with you about campaigns and events, and to ask you to participate in these campaigns and events. We may also contact you to inform you of how your gifts are helping us to reach our goals.
Disclosure
We won't disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent but we may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of the Boomerang Alliance (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers).
We will always offer you an opportunity to Opt-Out of receiving communications from the Boomerang Alliance. Should you choose to Opt-Out, we will take steps to ensure your details are excluded from all internal lists and future campaigns.
