MOBILISATION CAMPAIGNER (NSW)
The Boomerang Alliance is comprised of 32 national, state and local environment groups and is the prime campaign group on waste and recycling in Australia. It was established in 2003 and is currently focussed on a number of key issues including container deposits, plastic pollution, tyres and construction and demolition waste. We are currently seeking a Mobilisation Campaigner for our Cash For Containers campaign.
The position has delegated responsibility for the development and implementation of mobilisation projects in NSW, recruiting and managing volunteers, building alliances and engaging the wider community. The Mobilisation Campaigner will also liaise with the QLD manager.
The leadership focus for the role is diverse and will require them to lead some mobilisation projects, to support allies and at times to support other members of the team to keep the work flow manageable.
Duration: 16 weeks – 4 day Per week. 1 November 2015 - 28 February 2016
Salary: $28ph plus super and leave loading, 7.6 hours per day

COMMUNITY CAMPAIGNER (QLD)
Boomerang Alliance is also seeking a suitably qualified person to be its Community Campaigner in Queensland. Our organisation is currently campaigning for the introduction of a container deposit scheme (Cash For Containers) in Queensland and, with our partners, for the phase-out of plastic bags and harmful micro-plastics. The Community Campaigner will work with our Queensland Manager to deliver a community-based campaign that supports our goals.
Duration: 26 weeks – 3 Day Per week. 26 October 2015 – 30 April 2016
Salary: $28ph plus super and leave loading, 7.6 hours per day
Location: Brisbane
