    Drink bottles and cans typically make up a third by volume of all the litter our group collects from local street. If we had a Victorian Container Deposit Scheme, much of this waste could be removed from our environment thus preventing it washing down storm water drains to the sea. Protect our oceans – create a CDS!

    BEAM Mitchell Environment are strongly in support of this overdue legislation. Let drink containers be 100% recycled as a goal. And let it be part of a bigger container waste management solution, that of plastics.

    The Association of International Seafood Professionals and Aquaculture without Frontiers (Australia) Ltd support the concept of cash for containers. How sad it is for the Victorian Government to have their head in the sand over this issue? Victoria is fast becoming an anti seafood state under Premier Daniel Andrews. Let us become an important part of the solution rather than part of the problem as we move forward
