The momentum created by our supporters has carried us through:
Key Single Use Plastics Banned - we campaigned for over 5 years and now we are focussing on the second tranche of items including heavyweight plastic bags.
Container Refund Schemes Across Australia - our 17 year campaign has led to big improvements in litter and recycling.
Taking the Fight to the Packaging Industry - the sector which relies on failed voluntary action to achieve a 70% recycling rate and 20% recycled content by 2025. Our focus is on making the goals mandatory as well as expanding the use of refillables.
Plastic Free Pacific - we want to see the Australian Government take a leading role in an international treaty to prevent plastic pollution of the oceans and work with our regional neighbours.
